Both sides have been working for some time to get the deal done but it’s now been finalized.
The Winnipeg Jets and forward Adam Lowry have agreed to a 5-year contract extension that carries a cap hit of $3,250,000. Lowry is in the final year of a 3 year deal he signed previously with the Jets that has an annual cap hit of $2,916,666, he was set to become a UFA at the end of the year.
The 28 year old former third round pick has played his entire career as a member of the Winnipeg jets posting 143 points in 452 career games. Lowry is having one of his better seasons this year with the Jets with 20 points in 44 games.
