Sharks Jeffrey Viel Fights During Just His 2nd Shift in NHL Debut

Jeffrey Viel had his dreams come true Wednesday night playing in his first NHL game as the San Jose Sharks took on the Minnesota Wild.

What better way to start your NHL career than with your first NHL fight in your first game? Might as well jump into the shark infested waters head first, and that’s exactly what Viel did.

During what was just his second shift of the game, 3 minutes into the period Jeffrey Viel dropped the gloves with Minnesota Wild’s Luke Johnson. It was one hell of a scrap, Viel unloaded multiple lefts on Johnson and it didn’t seem like Johnson had the answer, seems Viel won the decision convincingly.
