Unvaccinated Islanders Player Speaks Out on Not Being Allowed at Camp

It was recently announced that all New York Islanders players aside from one where vaccinated.

Speculation grew as to who was the odd man out that decided not to get the vaccine.

Today we can confirm it was Islanders prospect Bode Wilde, a 21-year-old defensive prospect for the club.

He took to Instagram to speak out on not being invited to the Islanders camp due to his vaccination status.

“Appreciate it man. Hoping my human rights are enough to let me play… what a world.

He later went on to say:

“Guys, the NHL is undoubtably the privilege of a liftime, to be at camp is an enormous privilege. But my argument is only that I have the right to choose what goes in my b ody. And I don’t think that decision should affect my ability to play hockey at whatever level I earn an opportunity at.”
