The Toronto Maple Leafs have (re) acquired Kyle Clifford who recently cleared waivers from the St Louis Blues exchange for future considerations.
Clifford will be assigned to the Toronto Marlies.
Clifford originally joined the Maple Leafs back in 2020 in a deal that saw him and Jack Campbell come over from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Trevor Moore, a third-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft and a third-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.
The 30-year-old ontario natives time with the Leafs was underwhelming, with just 3 points in 16 games.
It’s unclear if he will get another shot with the big club, but for now he is a Toronto Marlie.
Welcome back, Cliffy
We’ve acquired forward Kyle Clifford from St. Louis in exchange for future considerations. #LeafsForever
