Lots of action ahead of the NHL expansion draft.
It was announced Saturday afternoon that the Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Jared McCann from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Filip Hallander and a 7th round pick.

The 25-year-old center is signed for one more season with a very palatable $2,940,000 cap hit. Last season, McCann put together 14 goals, 18 assists for 32 points in 42 games with the penguins.
He will slide right into the 3rd line center role for the Leafs, which means the Leafs plan on parting ways with Alex Kerfoot.
Leafs acquire Jared McCann who will probably regress from last season's incredible output, but should still be an extremely useful piece on a very cheap deal. Projects as second line caliber. pic.twitter.com/YzmXNkLAvl
