The Ottawa Senators may soon have a new celeb owner

It’s no secret that the Ottawa Senators franchise is being shopped around behind the scenes.

In an interesting development, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds may be a front-runner to purchase the team.

A source of the OttawaSun had this to say:

Ryan Reynolds is very interested in buying the Ottawa Senators should the NHL team ultimately be sold

Not only that, by Reynolds main priority would be to keep the franchise in Ottawa, as it’s been reported a sale could see the team relocated.

Reynolds isn’t exactly new to owning a sports franchise either, In February 2021, Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney purchased the Welsh football club Wrexham AFC.

This will be something to keep an eye on, as having Ryan Reynolds as the owner of your franchise just seems like a fun time.
