The Leafs are a possible landing spot for this Capitals defenceman…

General Manager Kyle Dubas and the Leafs are clearly in the market for a defenceman, as the team has been dealing with an abundance of injuries so far this season. Per Frank Seravalli, the team may look to the Washington Capitals for help on the blue line. One name mentioned: Nick Jensen.

Signed for the year at an AAV of $2.5M, the 32-year-old has 1 goal and 9 assists through 19 games. While Jensen hasn’t had the best defensive results so far this year, in previous years, the defenceman has been very solid and consistent in his own end. With a cap hit of just $2.5M, Nick Jensen could definitely be a good option for the Maple Leafs.
