Igor Shesterkin has seemingly taken the number one goalie job with the Rangers and hasn’t looked back.
Much to the dismay of fellow Rangers’ goaltender Alex Georgiev who has let it be known he is not happy with how he is being used this season.
The 25-year-old goalie, who has seen his playing time go down since Igor joined the team, is not happy with his lack of starts. He also contributes the lack of starts to his slow start this season (0.862 save percentage in 3 games).

There is no question, Georgieiv has the ability to be a number one goalie on any NHL team, and perhaps that is something the Rangers will look at before this year’s NHL trade deadline.
Moving Georgiev could bring in a healthy return that could improve other areas that the team is lacking.
