The New York Rangers announced Saturday afternoon that they have acquired forward Barclay Goodrow from Tampa Bay in exchange for a 7th-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Goodrow, a 2 time Stanley Cup champion, is currently an unsigned UFA that will enter free agency on July 28th presuming the Rangers do not already have a deal in place for him.
This season, the 28-year-old forward had 20 points in 55 games playing for Tampa’s third line and put up 6 points in the playoffs on the way to winning his second Stanley Cup.
