Just as the Montreal Canadiens looked to be heating up following their covid related time off they are hit with some devastating news.

It was announced Monday that forward Brendan Gallagher will be out “weeks” with a fractured thumb after he has struck in the hand with a shot by Habs rookie Romanov.

This season Gallagher has 23 points in 35 games for the Montreal Canadiens and was just starting to heat up with 7 points in his last 7 games, he’s a huge presence on the bench and in the room that the Habs will definitely miss.
