Some would say it’s just game 6, when in reality it’s year six.
Toronto Maple Leafs stars Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner are 6-year pros and have no business losing 7-1 against a Pittsburgh Penguins team missing Jeff carter, Kris Letang, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
Last night was just another embarrassing loss added to the list of embarrassing losses racked up by this Leafs squad in recent years and as TSN Insider Chris Johnston puts it:
“I’ve never seen the faith in the product so low.“
Of note is how deep the #leafs malaise is infecting the fanbase — the team's underperformance is causing huge ripples. I've never seen the faith in the product so low.

The Leafs have not even managed to sell out a home game this season, you’d think that would be an easy task with their fans not being able to attend games for over a year.
18,098 at Scotiabank Arena tonight. Maple Leafs yet to sell out a game this season.

Once the sub par on ice performance of the Leafs starts reaching the wallet of MLSE, as it already appears to be doing. You can bet that change is soon to follow.
The clock is ticking in Toronto, and change is imminent if the ship is not righted, and fast.
