The Leafs have locked in their top pairing defenceman Morgan Rielly for the next 8 years, and it seems that the 27-year-old defenceman will finish his career as a Leaf.
Announced Friday afternoon, the Toronto Maple Leafs signed Morgan Rielly to a 8-year deal that carries an annual average value of $7,500,000.
The deal includes a no movement clause for the first six years and a 10 team no trade clause in the final two years.
Morgan Rielly signs an eight-year extension with the #leafs carrying a $7.5M AAV.

When you consider some of the contracts we have seen been given out to defenceman this off-season, that number and term seems like an absolute steal.
The former 2012 first round pick has 580 career NHL games with the Leafs putting up 59 goals, 250 assists for 309 points.
Eight. Mo. Years.#LeafForever
