Leafs may be without backup Petr Mrazek for a while

Well it’s certainly not the start to the season the Toronto Maple Leafs or Petr Mrazek were hoping for when he signed his 3 year $3,800,000 contract this off-season.

In just two games with the club, he has a 4.20 GAA and a .877 save percentage.

And now it appears he will be heading to the injured reserve for a while with what appears to be a groin injury.

Saturday morning, the Toronto Maple Leafs re-called goaltender Joseph Woll from the AHL, a clear sign that something is wrong.

This morning at the Leafs Morning skate, the two goalies to take the ice were Jack Campbell and Joseph Woll, no sign of Petr Mrazek.

It is unclear how long the Leafs will be without their new backup.
