Leafs lose 2 key defensemen to long term injuries

More injury problems for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Monday morning the team announced that they will be without to key defenders for the foreseeable future.

33-Year-old Jake Muzzin is out indefinitely with a cervical spine injury, the team will re-evaluate the injury in February. Muzzin played just 4 games for the Leafs this season.

Toronto will also be without TJ Brodie, who has been placed on the injured reserve with a oblique injury.

Following this news the club also announced that the team would be recalling D Mac Hollowell and F Pontus Holmberg from the Toronto Marlies.
