The Jeff Skinner drama in Buffalo keeps going. For the third straight game Ralph Krueger has decided to healthy scratch the $9,000,000 former 40 goal scoring winger.
Skinner’s camp is growing concerned about the recent string of scratchings and Don Meehan who is Jeff Skinners agent had a lengthy conversation with GM Kevyn Adams wednesday where Meehan expressed his and Skinner’s concerns.
Not much about what was said in the conversation has been revealed, but we believe it was something along the lines of “trade me or play me”.
Sabres coach Ralph Krueger had this to say when asked about scratching Skinner for the third straight game:
“Number one, I don’t have a doghouse – I don’t know, really, what that is. My job every single morning is to continually try to do what’s best for the Sabres with all the information that we have and my trusted circle of coaches and Kevyn Adams and the discussions we have. Of course, I’d love to share everything all the time with everybody. You guys know I want to be transparent, but there are certain things that evolve in the development of a team or an organization or a group behind the scenes.”
