The Toronto Maple Leafs injury woes keep adding up. Leafs blueliner Jake Muzzin is set to miss some time due to a broken bone in his face suffered against the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night after Tyler Toffoli whacked him in the face with his follow through.

It is unclear exactly how much time Jake Muzzin will miss but Chris Johnston says he will return with a full face shield which could mean it won’t be too long before he’s back on the ice.

The list of Leafs that have missed time due to injury keeps growing:
- Joe Thornton
- Nick Robertson
- Jack Campbell
- Auston Matthews
- Travis Dermott
- Wayne Simmonds
- Jake Muzzin
- Zach Hyman
Despite this, they still remain first in their division and first in the league with a 14-3-2 record, impressive.
Jake Muzzin will be certainly missed by the Leafs. He has had an impressive season so far as part of the Leafs shutdown pair with Justin Holl. Muzzin has 11 point in 19 games this season.
