Is Jake Muzzin’s NHL career over?

This morning, the Maple Leafs announced 4 roster updates, one of which being on Jake Muzzin’s status.

Muzzin, who only played 4 games this season before getting injured, has been battling many injuries these past years.

It’s only gotten worse, as it’s now been confirmed that he will miss the next 4 months, and maybe even more. Rumours have flown around that the 33-year-old might look to hang up the skates soon since his past injuries could hinder his life after hockey.

In other news, D T.J Brodie has been placed on Injured Reserve with an oblique injury. He will now have to miss a minimum of 7 days. Arguably the Leafs’ most crucial defenceman, Brodie is a huge loss for an already inconsistent Toronto blue line.

In a corresponding move, D Mac Hollowell and F Pontus Holmberg were recalled from the Toronto Marlies.
