Insider: LA Kings looking to acquire Defenseman

With the unfortunate news of Los Angeles Kings defencemen Drew Doughty (8 weeks) & Sean Walker (entire season) being ruled out due to injury, it’s left a giant hole on the kings blueline.

A hole they are now trying to fix.

According to sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman the Los Angeles Kings have been hitting the phones pretty hard looking to acquire at least a depth defenseman or two to fill the gap.

LeBrun on Insider Trading talking Kings trade talks: "The long-term injuries to two of their top 4 defencemen on the right side, Drew Doughty and Sean Walker, has them working the phone looking for at least a depth defenceman for the right side".

The Kings have placed a call with the Toronto Maple Leafs inquiring about both Justin Holl and Timothy Liljegren. I

t’s unclear if the Leafs are willing to make a move like that at this point in the season but the call has been placed.
