You can ask around the league, if the last name is Foligno then that’s not a guy you want to be fighting. This is a lesson sharks rookie Nikolai Knyzhov had to learn the hard way.
The two got into it late into the first period of Mondays night game, Foligno gets two heavy punches in early which bust Knyzhov open and then he quickly waves over the referees to stop the fight.
That’s just an all around classy move and you gotta suspect Foligno feels a bit bad for beating on the rookie but in this game you get what you ask for.
Here’s what the Sharks rookie had to say about his fight.
Nikolai Knyzhov on Marcus Foligno pulling up during their fight: “I don’t remember that first punch, I think that’s what got me.”
Said he didn’t realize how good Foligno got him on the visor and how bloodied he’d become.
