It’s no secret that the Philadelphia Flyers have been trying to get rid of 31-year-old forward Jakub Voracek, and it now appears they have managed to work something out with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The complete details of the deal are currently unknown, but it is believed Cam Atkinson of the Columbus Blue Jackets will be going the other way.
Voracek has 3 years left on his deal that carries an $8,250,000 cap hit and is still producing very well. Just last season, Voracek had 43 points in only 53 games with the struggling Flyers. He will be returning to the team that drafted him back in 2007.
Cam Atikinson is 32 years old and currently signed for four more years to a deal that carries a $5,875,000 cap hit. Last season with the Blue Jackets, he had 34 points in 53 games.
More details to come soon.
Im not sure what else is involved here — if anything — but there's a Cam Atkinson-Jakub Voracek deal being worked on between Columbus and Philadelphoa
