After the San Jose Sharks announced that they have terminated the contract of 30 year old winger Evander Kane, he will now be eligible to sign with any team he wishes.
Surprisingly there has been no shortage of teams lining up to lane Kane who just last season put together 49 points in just 56 games.
However, Kane who has managed 8 points in 5 games this season with the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda is likely to sign with the Edmonton Oilers.
The Edmonton Oilers gave been sinking as of late going 2-6-2 in their last 10 games and GM Ken Holland is said to be all in this year to not only keep his superstar player in Connor McDavid happy, but to go on a run in the playoffs.
Just this morning, when asked about Evander Kane, Ken Holland had this to say:
I believe in second chances.
Which no doubt means the Oilers are all in on the disgraced forward.
Ken Holland admits he has talked to Evander Kane’s agent, Dan Milstein. Earlier in availability he said he “believes in second chances.”
