Dylan Strome Could Be on His Way Out of Chicago

The 2021-22 NHL season has not even started yet but teams are already talking about making moves.

Dylan Strome may be on his way out of the Chicago Blackhawks organization, the team is reportedly taking calls on the former first round pick.

Insider Elliotte Friedman had this to say in his 32 thoughts article:

Another player I’m watching: Chicago’s Dylan Strome. Head coach Jeremy Colliton is talking about him as a fourth-liner, and that’s not a place he will thrive. With Jonathan Toews back and the organization heavily invested in Kirby Dach, there’s not much room for Strome. Other teams previously showed interest, and the Blackhawks are looking around.

Strome’s production has declined since the 2018-19 season where he put up 51 points in 58 games. Last season he only managed 17 points in 40 games.

Nonetheless, he is a talented center that many teams are going to have interest in and he will likely fetch a solid return for the Blackhawks.
