It looks as if Jake Virtanen’s time as a Vancouver Canuck could possibly be coming to an end. Reports are coming out indicating that a deal is currently being worked out between the Vancouver Canucks and the Anaheim Ducks.
Virtanen’s road in Vancouver has been a bumpy one, he has played 298 games for the club with 96 points to show for it which is not exactly what you would expect from a former first round 6th overall pick.
Danton Heinen is reportedly the player that would be coming back to the Canucks. He had a hot start to his NHL career putting together a 47 point season with the Bruins, followed by a 34 point season.
However, his time in Anaheim has been anything but smooth with just 6 points in 17 games. Perhaps that’s why this deal makes so much sense, it gives both players a much needed change of scenery.
The deal is not done yet, but both teams are grinding away to get it done. It’s unclear at this time whether more players or perhaps picks are involved. Follow our social medias to find out first.

#Canucks and Ducks have been grinding away on a potential Jake Virtanen deal, but I’m told that nothing is imminent for now.
Probably fair to say that any momentum has slowed over the past few hours, but this one is still worth watching.

Heinen and Virtanen have been discussed but if both teams decide to move forward in talks, probably not a 1 for 1 deal… would be another component to make the money work I think. And that’s if they decide to keep talking. Not sure. https://t.co/PFnTKNr3xH
