Dallas Stars Fan Taunts Blue Jackets Goalie About Death of Friend

It was a disgusting scene Monday night as the Dallas Stars took on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

As he was heading down the tunnel onto the ice, Blue Jackets goalie Elvis Merzlikins was on the receiving end of some disgusting words, taunting him about the death of his friend and former Blue Jackets goalie Matiss Kivlenieks.

In a video posted by the Blue Jackets Instagram account, you can hear a fan shouting “Don’t light a firework” as they head onto the ice.

If you’ll recall, Matiss Kivlenieks was killed when he was struck in the chest by a mortar style firework.

Currently, the Blue Jackets are investigating to find the fan responsible for this.

Hopefully they can find the man responsible, there is no place for this stuff in hockey.
