27-year-old goaltender Joonas Korpisalo may be making his departure from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
It’s no secret that Elvis Merzlikins has taken the number one goalie job in Columbus, in 13 games this season he has a stellar .923 save percentage and with Daniil Tarasov waiting in the wings, Korpisalo is looking for an opportunity elsewhere.
Korpisalo has a .885 save percentage in the 8 games he has played for the club.
Despite his sub-par play the last two seasons, teams have been calling Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen about acquiring Korpisalo.
One team who has put in a call and is in desperate need of goaltending is the Colorado Avalanche.
