Columbus Blue Jackets Healthy Scratch Another Key Player

max domi

John Tortorella and benching/scratching his players, name a better duo.

Tortorella who is likely in his last season as the head coach of the Blue Jackets announced Monday afternoon that newly acquired and signed forward Max Domi will be a healthy scratch tonight as the Blue Jackets take on the Florida Panthers.

With just 19 points in 46 games it hasn’t been the best season for Domi who once recorded a 72 point season with the Montreal Canadiens, he has yet to find his rhythm with the Blue Jackets and now finds himself a healthy scratch.

John Tortorella did not go into detail as to why he was scratching him, but he was not at all happy when Domi lost his marbles and received 10 minute misconduct against the Chicago Blackhawks when he went after Connor Murph. Perhaps, that could be part of this decision.

The end of this season seems like it couldn’t’ come quick enough for Max Domi and Patrik Laine who have both been on the reciving end of Tortorella’s wrath since landing in Columbus.
