Busy day as we get closer to the NHL trade deadline.
The Chicago Blackhawks have announced that they have acquired forward Adam Gaudette from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Matthew Highmore.
A 24 year old center, Adam Gaudette hasn’t had his greatest season to date with the Vancouver Canucks with just 7 points in 33 games. However, Gaudette does have a career high 33 points in 55 games just last season and the Blackhawks are gambling on him returning to that form. Gaudette is signed to a one year deal worth $950,000.
On the Canucks side, they get 25 year old forward Matthew Highmore who has only 2 points in 24 games played for the Blackhawks this season but is signed for 2 years with a cap hit of $725,000.
