Taylor Hall watch is officially over, the biggest fish ahead of this years NHL trade deadline is now off the board.
The Boston Bruins have acquired forwards Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Anders Bjork and 2nd round draft pick. Buffalo will retain 50% of Hall’s $8,000,000 cap hit.
In 37 games with the Buffalo Sabres, Hall has put together 2 goals and 17 assists for 19 points. However, he was playing for the Buffalo Sabres who have been exceptionally bad this year so he should be cut some slack. This will be Taylor Hall’s fifth team in the NHL.
Going with Hall is 26 year old former first round pick Curtis Lazar. He has a career high 20 point season under his belt but just 9 points in 33 games for the Buffalo Sabres this season.
The Buffalo Sabres didn’t get the first round pick they were looking for but they did get a 2nd round pick and 24 year old forward Anders Bjork who had a career high 19 points in 58 games last season with the Bruins. This year he has just 5 points in 30 games for the club.
Confirming. Hall and Lazar to Boston for Bjork and 2nd round draft pick.
