Anaheim Ducks Shopping Forward Troy Terry

The Anaheim Ducks have been clear they are willing to take offers on almost any of their players. During the second intermission of Saturdays game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Winnipeg Jets Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman let it be known that another name the Ducks are looking to get something in return for is forward Troy Terry.

Here is what Friedman had to say:

“…and just finally, one young player that might be up for a change of scenery here; Troy Terry in Anaheim I am starting to hear some conversations about him whether or not he might go somewhere else to get a change from the Ducks”

The 23 year old Olympian is in the first year of a three year deal he signed with the Ducks that carries a $1,450,000 cap hit. In 103 career NHL games Terry who is a former 2015 fifth round pick has just 35 points.

One team we’ve heard has inquired about Troy Terry is the Toronto Maple Leafs who are looking to bolster their forward group, the fit makes sense as Terry has a very reasonable contract the Leafs can make work and perhaps the change of scenery can provide him with a spark.

Plus, perhaps Matthews would like to re-unite with his buddy.
