Not great news ahead of the Stanley Cup finals.
The Montreal Canadiens previously lost their coach for 14 days due to contracting covid and he will not be able to return to the bench until game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals. Now, reports are coming out that a player has entered the covid protocol.
Joel Armia of the Montreal Canadiens has been placed in Covid protocols, it is unclear if this is a precaution or if he actually has covid, but the team is expected to know more by tomorrow morning.
Marc Bergevin says Joel Armia is in COVID protocol, and there will be further updates later on.

The 28-year-old winger is having a great post-season for the habs. With 8 points including 5 goals in 17 playoff games this year, losing Armia would be a huge blow. You also have to feel bad for the player, if it turns out he does indeed have Covid he will likely need to quarantine for 14 days, meaning he would likely miss the entirety of the Stanley Cup final.
